Don't like it? Get your money back.
We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund on your first paid subscription. After that, refunds follow the rules below, plus whatever your local consumer-protection law requires.
TL;DR
- 14-day, no-questions-asked refund on your first paid subscription (monthly, annual, or lifetime).
- Email sales@thoughtmic.com from your purchase address to request a refund.
- Subscription renewal charges and lifetime purchases after 14 days are non-refundable, except where required by law.
- You can cancel a subscription any time from your billing portal without contacting us; cancellation stops future charges.
- EU, UK, and similar statutory refund rights apply on top of this policy.
1. The 14-day refund window
If you bought any ThoughtMic Pro plan (monthly, annual, or lifetime) and you are not happy with it, you can get a full refund within 14 days of your purchase. You do not need to tell us why.
To request a refund, email sales@thoughtmic.com from the email address you used at checkout and let us know you would like a refund. We process refunds through Paddle, our payment processor. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
2. After the 14-day window
Once 14 days have passed since your purchase:
· Subscription renewals (monthly or annual) are non-refundable. If you forgot to cancel before a renewal, you can cancel from your billing portal now and your subscription will end at the close of the current billing period.
· Lifetime purchases are non-refundable. Lifetime is a one-time payment for permanent access, and after the 14-day window we treat it as final.
The one exception is where local law requires a refund. See section 4.
3. Cancelling is not the same as refunding
You can cancel a monthly or annual subscription at any time from the billing portal linked in your purchase email, with no need to contact us. Cancellation stops future charges, and your access ends at the close of the current billing period.
Cancellation does not refund past charges. If you want your money back, that is a separate request: refunds follow the rules in section 1 (within 14 days of your first purchase) or section 4 (statutory rights, regardless of date).
4. Statutory refund rights
If you bought ThoughtMic from the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction that grants consumers statutory cancellation or refund rights for digital goods, those rights apply in addition to this policy. Paddle, our payment processor, is the seller of record and handles statutory refund requests directly as part of their merchant-of-record compliance program. You can also email sales@thoughtmic.com and we will work with Paddle on your behalf.
5. Before you file a chargeback
If a charge looks wrong, please email sales@thoughtmic.com first. We are a small team and we will work with you to make it right.
Filing a chargeback through your card issuer without contacting us first slows resolution down for everyone and can result in your license being deactivated while the dispute is investigated by Paddle. We would much rather just fix it directly.
